          The Authority can manage and oversee the construction of your project. Our Engineering Department has extensive construction management experience and numerous contacts among the construction professionals in New Jersey and nearby Pennsylvania. Some of our successful projects include the Sovereign Bank Arena, Mercer County Waterfront Park, the Mercer County Detention Center, 

 Mercer Oaks Golf Course, and numerous schools and libraries throughout the county.

Our professional staff can save you money by reviewing each step from selection of contractors and building design, through construction. They can keep you on schedule and on budget. Our knowledge of the contractors and processes can help you avoid overpaying for a service, and eliminate the cost overruns and delays from faulty designs, and expensive change orders. We will keep the project moving through timely disbursement of contractor's progress payments.

The Authority can assist in:

• The review of bids to assure competitive pricing and maximum buying power.
• The selection and hiring of a seasoned professional team: architects, contractors, project manager.
• The monitoring of the design phase of the building: clarify, define and review requirements; develop and analyze alternatives and associated costs; analyze design for constructability, cost and schedule.
• The identification of applicable permits and fees that need to be obtained or paid, but fall outside responsibilities of contracted work.
• Monitoring the construction phase and certifying the release of funds.
• Meetings to review and update of the Project Schedule, the coordination of professionals' services with anticipated construction schedule.
• The monitoring of adherence to Project Budget, making recommendations to correct potential excesses.

Construction Management Fees

The Authority charges no fees for this service. Actual expenses incurred, including personnel expenses, are reimbursed from this Project Budget. We anticipate that the use of this service will pay for itself.
